Owned by Craig and Lisa Karlin, Lake George’s historic General Store located directly on Hwy 24 in Lake George, Colorado at the turn off to Eleven Mile Canyon.

 

TAKE A STEP BACK IN TIME…

Granite Canyon General Store takes its name from the original name of Eleven Mile Canyon – Granite Canyon.

They are located in Lake George, CO directly on Highway 24 at the turn off to Eleven Mile Canyon on the historic property once owned by George Frost – Lake George’s founder and namesake.

The store itself dates back to the early 1900’s and has been operational in the same location for over 90 years. Granite Canyon General Store has incredible historic photographs of the Frost Mansion and Lake George Hotel, the Lake George ice mining operations from the early 1900’s as well as historic photos of when the Colorado Midland Railway used to steam up Granite Canyon.

They have groceries and a full liquor store, apparel, camping gear, fishing tackle and bait, snacks, souvenirs, snow sleds, southwest style baskets & blankets, hats, baja pullovers, buffalo hides, puzzles, games, gifts and much more.
